"Everybody Plays Air Guitar is Austin based musician and singer Joe McDermott's fifth album for children. Musically he is akin to the bands like They Might Be Giants and the B52's, which works well for kids six to ten, yet he remains musically stylish enough for parents. With tunes like the lightly rocking "Our Family Car is a Helicopter," the acoustic ballad "Spider Magic," the romping "Roller Coaster," and the vaguely classically influenced "Momma's Gonna Have A Baby" McDermott's his songs are a little off center, but in a good way.
