Lyrics

I Am Baby ©1997 Joe McDermott/True Blue Music
I fall down on my bottom
And it doesn't even hurt
Gonna find a house plant
Gonna eat some dirt
Gonna run around all over this house
Gonna find an old dusty thing
Put in in my mouth

Chorus

I am baby
I am trouble
I can walk

I know everything to do to make the doggie jump
I know everything to pull to make the lamp go thump
I know everything to do to make Daddy say, "Aah!"
I know 25 words and 24 of them are, "Bah!"

Chorus

Well, hey there kitty
How are you?
Mind if I give your tail a little chew?
And who spilled juice on Daddy's new suit?
Well it couldn't be me
I'm so little and……cute

Well hey there Mama
What do you know
I just put the keys
Where the diapers go
And I do the watusi like the "tusi's" do

Eat some peanut butter
Spread it on your shoe

Chorus

Don't Drop a Brick on Your Foot (It Will Hurt) © 1997 True Blue Music
A brick is a thing that is hard
One time I played with one in the backyard
It was smooth it was neat
But when I dropped it on my feet
I learned a rule that I'll always regard

Chorus:
Don't drop a brick on your foot it will hurt
It will make you hop around in the dirt
You will have to see the doc
Use a crutch when you walk
Don't drop a brick on your foot it will hurt

A doctor is a person who can fix
Little bones that might be broken from bricks
Or a foot that's kind of numbsie
From a hand that's kind of clumsy
Or a mind that forgot this little trick

Repeat Chorus

Gravity is a thing that pulls down
What's in the air
It will pull to the ground
And if your foot gets in between
Gravity and bricks unseen
You might want to make this little sound

Repeat Chorus

Jungle Song © 1997 True Blue Music
They told me not to go into the jungle
For fear of all the beasts I'd see
They told me it was terribly scary
And I would cry for Mom and Daddy

I'm not afraid to go into the jungle
I want to see all the things I see
I know if I don't hurt the beasties
No one will make a feast out of me

Chorus:
I'm not afraid to go into the jungle
I wanna see all the thing I see
I know if I don't hurt the beasties
No one will make a feast out of me

They say it's dangerous out in the jungle
Creatures creeping all day and night
And all they want is to scratch and bite me
They smell funny and are not polite

Repeat Chorus

They told me not to go into the jungle
They've never been and they'll never be
Jungles are wild, untamed and serious
Just the place for someone like me

Repeat Chorus

Little White Shoes © 1997 True Blue Music
I learned to eat and I got this spoon
I grew some hair and I got this brush
Guess what I got when I learned to walk
Two little shoes and two little socks

Chorus:
I have a pair of little white shoes
And two little feet that slip into them
There's no telling what a baby can do
I can go anywhere I choose
I have a pair of little white shoes

Look at me Papa, look at me Mama
All the places that I can get to
Out the door and into the sun
Watch me walk and watch me run

Repeat Chorus

And suddenly the worlds a little smaller
And suddenly the worlds a little closer
Oh happy day for me and feet
As we go walking down the street
‘Cause for this little baby
Life just got a whole lot better

Under the covers, it's time for sleep
My little shoes are tucked away
If they could talk I'd bet they'd say
Tomorrow is another day

Repeat Chorus

Sunny Day on the Farm © 1997 True Blue Music
The sun peeks over the garden wall
Soon the sky will be blue
Mr. Rooster puffs his feathers, hops on the roof
He knows just what to do
Cock-a-doodle Do

The geese go out to share a morning drink
With the ducks in the pond
And old Mamma Goose she really shakes her caboose
It's a sunny day on the farm

The bees are buzzin' in the clover
The cows graze in the shade
The calves all prance while the horse does a dance
Man, they have it made

The doggie dotes upon the lambs at play
You know he keeps them from harm
While the little piggies scuttle to a favorite mud puddle
Sunny day on the farm

Now every animal knows what to do
There's grass to eat and there's hay to chew
Work and play fills the day
While the sun is high in the sky

The big green tractor puts along the lane
The swallows sing in the barn
The farmer smiles, he'll stop for a while
It's a sunny day on the farm

What's Not to Love About a Skunk? ©1997 True Blue Music
My little brother Jimmy is as cute as he can be
He has a way with animals and they just love Jimmy
He comes home with frogs and ladybugs
Snakes and lizards too
And the room we call his bedroom looks like the city zoo

Now one day Jimmy wondered in
Much to my surprise
With a furry little creature
With very big brown eyes
It had black fur a bushy tail
Stripe upon it's back
It followed Jimmy up the stairs
'cause Jimmy had a snack
And Jimmy said
"Can we keep him?"
I said, "No."
"Just for a little while?"
I said, "I don't think so."

Chorus:
But I want to love him and feed him
I think I'll name him Blinky
And what's not to love about a skunk?
I said, "Jimmy they're stinky."

Now Dad was off at work and Mom was on the telephone
I said, "You better take a look at what Jimmy brought home."
When she opened up the door to his room I heard poor Mom
In a voice I'd never heard before say, "Everyone stay calm."

"Can we keep him Mom?
And she said, "No!"
"Not even for a little while?"
She said, "I don't think so!"

Repeat Chorus

Now Jimmy is a good boy
He did as Mama said
Down the stair and towards the door
His pet he kindly led
He tiptoed down the stairway
Trying to to upset
The very gentle nature
Of his brand new pet

We tiptoed down the stairway
We whispered as we spoke
Almost to the front door
That's when the dog awoke
I heard Mom say, "Oh no!"
Out came our faithful pup
I heard our doggie say, "Woof woof!"
And Blinky's tail went up

Now I've smelled a rotten apple
And I've smelled the morning dew
But I swear that smell from lifted tail
Made all of us say, "P-U!"
Like a thousand dirty socks
A hundred pounds of stinky cheese
And Blinky took a stroll outside
To smell the evening breeze

And Jimmy said, "I don't want to keep him, Mom!"
And she said, "No."
"Not even for a little while!"
And she said, "I don't think so."
Don't want to love him, or feed him
Don't think I'll name him Blinky
I know what's not to love about a skunk
They're STINKY!

So that's my little story
Of Jimmy and the skunk
Of how he made a friend that day
And how our house was stunk
And as Mom sprayed the house
With some stuff that smelled like roses
Jimmy said, "Skunks will never be good pets
As long as we have noses."

Say Goodnight © 1997 music by Joe McDermott
lyrics by Stan and Jan Berenstain
It's not yet time to say goodnight
Our friend the sun is high and bright
"Still time to play." It seems to say
Before we say goodnight

Now the sun is riding low
It's light is now a rosy glow
Time for our bath we get undressed
Ma helps us start we do the rest

We suds our fur
And rinse our heads
Still not ready for our beds
Mama dries us
"Ouch!" we shout
As Papa combs our tangles out

Chorus:
It's not yet time
To say goodnight
Our friend the sun
It high and bright
Many things to do
Before we're through
Goodnight

Now we have to brush our teeth
The ones on top the ones beneath
We brush and brush and brush our teeth
Before we say goodnight

The moon comes out
We notice that
It's sometimes thin and sometimes fat
Is now the time to say goodnight?
Our friend the moon says,
"No, not quite."

Repeat Chorus

We have to put our nighties on
We're getting sleepy we stretch we yawn
We choose a book this one perhaps
And climb upon our parent's laps
Though others would do nicely too
Which book you choose is up to you

Now the time has come for dozing
Even Papa's eyes are closing
All tucked in we get our teddy
All tucked in at last we're ready
With the moon aglow
The stars so bright
It's time at last to say
Goodnight

Now it's time to say goodnight
Our friend the moon is high and bright
"No time to play." It seems to say
It's time so say goodnight

Smart Little Creatures ©1997 True Blue Music
Smart little spider spinning a thread
Long and sticky to make a web
To catch her dinner and lay her eggs
The world is full of smart little creatures

Smart little caterpillar up in a tree
Big and fat she eats everything she sees
Spin a cocoon in a branch so high
Soon she'll become a butterfly
And that's no lie

Chorus:
My backyard is full of smart little creatures
They know what to do ‘cause nature's their teacher
Crawlers and spinners and flyers and eaters
Smart, smart, smart, smart, smart little creatures

Smart little bumblebee buzzing away
From flower to flower all of the day
Hive to flower and flower to home
Making honey in a honeycomb

Smart little worker ants crawling around
Looking for food to eat on the ground
Marching in a straight line out of their mound
They built a city under the ground

Repeat Chorus

Ice Cream Truck © 1997 True Blue Music
What will I be when I grow up?
Everyone wants to know
A doctor, a writer, a firefighter
Are all good jobs I know

But I've decided on a great job
And you'll say I'm in luck
Work is fun when you're the one
Who drives the ice cream truck

Now everyone is happy to see me
As I drive down the street
I make good pay, a dollar a day
And all that I can eat

Now you'll say, "Now there one happy guy!
And you'll say, "Some people have all the luck."
Work is fun, when you're the one
Who drives the ice cream truck

When you hear the music
You will come see me
No money to spend, well you're my friend
I'll give you some for free

And you'll say, "Ice cream in all shapes and sizes"
And you'll say, "Hey, he only charged me a buck!"
Work is fun when you're the one
Who drives the ice cream truck
